It was mid july last year and some of my friends wanted to trek around our city. They left it upon me to searching a new trekking route. I had heard about Gannath village but have never been there, so I inquired about it to a friend who belongs from nearby and he guided us on how to get there.

Last year I spent lots of time to visit here to there, kausani trip was one of them. That time Dr. Ajay Kumar was residing at my neighborhood (Now he is residing in New Tehri). One day when he was at my shop I offered him to visit Rudradhari falls near Kausani and he accepted my offer, Sunday was fixed for visit.

It was month of August and rainy season has started. It was greenery season surrounding area was full filled with green grass. Whole valley has become green.
Katli village !!
Kausani is 55 KM far from Almora. I got ready asap and called to Dr.Ajay Around 10 AM we started our journey although we were two people so we chose Motorcycle. Dr.Ajay was riding and I sat behind him and enjoying riding.

In rainy season Someshwar valley has scenic view. We stopped there for a while and saw nature’s creation of beautiful valley.The surrounding range of green hills pose mesmerizing view before one who passes through the valley.

We reached at Katli village afternoon, Katli village it was last station where we could go by bike, from there we had to go on foot around 2 KM through dense forest.

We didn’t find any human however we saw birds and we were moving our destination trough bank of KOSI River after walking half an hour we reached at Rudradhari falls.

Rudhadhari falls is a natural attraction here and many ancient caves are explored nearby areas.The falls impinging the valley flows from there as river and small springs.

We had a big wish to meet swami of Shiva temple, unfortunately that time he had been out of city, spending some time there we came back to our destination because rain has started again.

26 March 2010– We went toUdhampur city by bus, and there we had have our lunch. After lunch we got bus which was going toDoda city, it was last bus to go this road,we requested bus conductor for giving us chance to travel this bus, finally he agreed.We reachedPatanitop at evening and we booked 2 rooms in a hotel,we paid only Rs 300 each.

Patanitopis looks like aKausani (Almora) Enveloped by thickly wooded Cedar/Deodhar forests, Patnitop offers beautiful picnic spots, peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the mountainscape of the Chenab basin. In winter, the resort is generally covered with a thick mantle of snow. My some friends want to go Srinagar but my few friends refused that proposal it was very disappointed for them.

27 March 2010–Next morning we were going to Badot on foot in middle of dense oak trees. We went to Gurudwara (it is temple of Sikhs) and met head of Gurudwara committee, we felt a positive energy from there .

Getting some time we came back to Jammu by bus.When we reached in Jammu now Jaggi was about to go his home, since last week he was with us . He told us that he would bring his Car & Scooter for taking us our next destination, it was Mansor.It is famous for lake, it is situated at 56km far between Jammu & Pathankot highwaway.We reached Mansor at night, booked 2 rooms and paid Rs 400 each.
28 March 2010–We got up early and prepared to go visit lake side, it was nice lake,we saw different kind of fishes. In after noon we came back to Jammu and prepared for going to Jaggi’s home,it was our last day inJammu.We reached jaggi’s home although his parents already known about our travel so they were waiting to us for coming home.They got very happy when we reached their home and Jaggi’s mother prepared Rajma & Chawal (cooked rice) for us. Having lunch we saw his farming field where they were harvesting. At evening time we got permission to go back station because 11.40pm our train was going to depart so we reached station at 8pm. And we were about to travel over night again.
29 March 2010–We arrived at 2.20 pm inHaldwani and came back toAlmora by bus. “This is my unforgettable journey from Almora to Vashno Devi”
We were six friends and one day decided to goVaishno Devi temple inJammu. ♦ 11 March 2010 – We got reservation in Garib Rath train which leaves from Kathagodam to Tawi station (Jammu) in every Tuesday once a week at 6.30pm, we paid Rs.568 each. We all were excited about our journey, and we all prepared for it, after some days our dream was going to become true. Kathgodam Railway Station
♦ 23 March 2010–We went to Haldwani by bus its 90 Km far away from here, we reached Haldwani at 4.30 pm then Babbu bought lower (morning walk kit) and we came back Kathagodam station; we saw the train was ready to leave station; we got into the compartment and took berth. The train was left 6.30pm.We were going to travel 769km nonstop, inside the compartment there was cold because entire compartment was 3AC.It was over night journey for us and that was my first long journey.
Katra (Jammu)
♦ 24 March 2010-We reached in Tavi station (Jammu) at 9.30 am morning, where my friend Jaggi (Jagmohan Singh ) was waiting for us in station arrival gate. He lives in R.S.Pura in Jammu which is 25 km far from Jammu city. He is my best friend, i met him in Almora last year when he had come here with his father. He is graduate from Cyprus University in Cyprus , we met him in station and we all were glad because met him after one year. Jaggi arranged everything for us, we went to hotel where Jaggi booked a six bed room before our reaching. Whole day we took rest in hotel room and evening we moved on market and Jaggi told us next day plan that how can we go to Katra (it is main city to go Vashno Devi).
♦ 25 March 2010–We got up in early morning and prepared to go, we went to local bus stop where got bus for Katra. Katra is 40km far from Jammu city. We reached in Katra around 11.30am.Jaggi told us about security and other important things before start climbing. We have to go 13km on foot; it was very long distance for us. One time we felt nervous, how can we reach on the top of Mountain because it is situated 13km far from Katra city however Helicopter facility was also available there but it was too expensive for us .We started journey afternoon, and reached top at 4pm.When we reached there, we saw very rush spread temple area.Finaly we decided that we should be on the queue. There were many devotees come across India wide, not only Hindu devotees but also different religious devotees present there. We got stuck on the queue 6 hours for Mata’s Darshan.After 6 hours we entered inside the Temple and did worship for a while, after that we felt lucky & fortunate. We were getting tire. In spite of doing rest, we decided to go another destination & our next destination was Patnitop, it is situated at between Jammu & Srinagar highway. It is 150km far from Jammu & 100km form Katra city…..
On 10 Oct 2013 -: Vomiting has started of mine early morning♥♥ One time…two time ♥ ohh my God We had to get bus for Pokhara at 6:30AM but I was feeling nausea to travel but determined whatever my condition I’ll defiantly travel to Pokhara and started travelling towards Pokhra. We reached at Pokhara evening some hotel broker were trying to trap us and finally we went to lake side area with a broker who promised he’ll provide cheap and good room as we wished and hotel’s room was good and FEWA LAKE was just some foot steps ahead to us. Getting formalities we took shower and hired a cap for INR 5000 who take us select place which is not more than 100km is it to expansive??? Yes it is expansive if you wish to visit Nepal please go by your own vehicle.In evening I called to Mahima Shrestha (She is local girl) as she knew about my journey that I am going to visit there soon. She surprised when heard that I am in her city (Pokhara). She was about to meet us next morning and going to take us various place.
Pokhra City
On 11 Oct 2013 -: My cell phone rang early morning at 4:30 AM caller was our taxi driver coming to take us Sarankot for showing sun rise. Sarankot is located at uphill from the city where you can see whole Himalayan range and Pokhara valley told us it is specially famous for Sun rise and Paragliding it is only place from where you can do Paragliding activities. Unfortunately that morning was cloudy sky and we couldn’t see anything and returned to hotel room for preparing next destination of course to meet Mahima. Sun rising at Sarangkot (Pokhra)
At 9:00 am I reached that place where we were about to meet to Mahima after waiting 15 minute she was appearing to come towards us that time she was looking gorgeous with her pink dress that was my first meeting with her I have only seen her pictures on Facebook before. Then decided where she wants to take us first went to a local cave there were lots of Bats living inside the cave. After that visited another cave actually I was enjoying her company and thinking she came to meet us without knowing who we are because I didn’t meet each other face to face it was first time when we were meeting. Till afternoon we decided to have lunch and I left everything for Mahima some steps ahead Mahima shown restaurant where we were going to have lunch.

After having lunch Mahima took us Shanti Stupa. It is situated upside of valley. We spent much time with Mahima I asked about her routine life she told me everything what I wanted to know about her and she also interested to know about my life I answered. After spending few hours there we were getting back to Pokhara and finally it was time to say GOOD BYE to Mahima we dropped off her at Lake Side area. We came back our hotel room rest of day spent at room and planning for next day programme, that time season of festival whole Nepali people was busy for celebrating Dashera festival. It is one of the biggest festival of Nepal. While we are having our dinner I decided to get back to India because it was creating trouble for us, transportation facility was not good in Nepal during festival they charge as much as they can charge so we booked bus tickets paid double fare.

On 12 Oct 2013-:After checked out we went to restaurant where we were having dinner during that period restaurant owner was made our friend as we were about to leave afternoon from there so he insisted on taking us a Taal Barahi temple which is situated at middle of Fewa lake and we agreed. We visited to this ancient temple indeed it is nice temple letter he took us bus station and were going to travel 18 hours nonstop from there to Mahendrnagar (It is situated at India border line).It was our overnight journey however road condition was good as we didn’t expect ♥
On 13 Oct 2013-:We reached at Mahendrnagar at 7am morning after that we came to Indian border by bus, walked 15 minute on foot to cross border Finlay we arrived Banbasa (India) there we booked a hotel for taking some rest. After fleshing up we decided to visit Purnagiri Temple, we left for our next destinationJ Purnagiri temple is situated 35 km from banbasa there are lots of convenience to reach there you can hire taxi our other services also available to reach there. We went there by taxi and walking 3 km on foot we reached at temple.
Evening time we visited at Bramdev mandi Nepal (It is a small market where lots of Indian goes to buy clothes) where Sudhir brought a jacket then we got back to Banbasa, stayed night there.

On 14 Oct 2013-: At 9am we checked out hotel room and arrived at bus station for leaving to Haldwani. We got Roadways bus and stared our journey towards our last destination from where we started our journey our HOME .We arrived at Haldwani and I brought some sweets for my parents and leaving to Almora by taxi. We arrived at Home evening time and telling about our journey to our parents and neighbour also. ♥♥♥
On 08 Oct 2013-: Early Morning we got up and washed up. After Taking breakfast we left to International Airport, we had to check in till 9:30 am. First time we were keen to see the terminal3 (Whole international flight departure from there). Wow airport is made very nit and clean inside the airport we inquired about Indigo counter, we got boarding passes after taking some formalities, our one friend name recommended by computer for custom check in however it is normal check in Munna was the lucky person.Me and Shudhir getting busy doing another formalities like Immigration, security related issues etc. After clearing whole securities issues we got there where wanted to be we were dreaming for last month still Munna was missing and after sometime he reached there too.

Now we roamed inside airport there are many retailer shop, selling to expansive product then outside shop. We didn’t buy anything from there, waiting for departure at Gate no.24.Our flight exactly Tacked off at 11:05 Am from Delhi to Kathmandu. Inside the flight Airhostess of flight selling meal, coffee, tea, beer etc they are asking each person “ Sir would you like to buy” during journey As same asked to us I asked for two cup of coffee because Sudhir preferred to buy one cane Beer. After flying 1 hour 30 minute we landed at TIA (Tribhuwan International Airport) Kathmandu, Nepal. Kathmandu biggest main city of Nepal it is Capital of Nepal, Nepali language speaks there hence Hindi language also known very well as well speaks

Out side the Airport my Friend Santosh subedee was waiting for us because we communicated him about our travel schedule. First time I was going to meet him because I searched him through Facebook and made best friend. I embraced him as a Nepali culture he called me DAI (Elder Brother) and taking us Hotel room where he has already booked three bad room at Thamel Situated middle of Kathmandu city we paid INR 1000 per night. It is very crowded street and very busy transportation even we had to face many situation where travelling issues. Santosh Took us a shop where we were about to test first time TUMBA (It is fermented Maduwa keeps inside dark covered area around 7-8 days). When served TUMBA in front of us we didn’t get how to take it. Santosh demonstrated how to take it, first you have to pour warm water into Tumba and taking deep ships until it is emptied. Taking TUMBA gives some alcoholic touch but as we were told it is not harmful for body ♥ We enjoyed TUMBA ♥♥ Tumba
On 09 Oct 2013 -:Next day morning before Santosh came at our room Sudhir and Munna Brought two Pasmina Saul for his mother each cost was INR 600, Santosh taking us PASUPATI NATH TEMPLE which is situated at Near Gausala, wow we felt refresh after visiting inside temple because we wished to visit there. After visiting temple santosh advised us that he wants to take us Sanga where lord Shiva’s longest statue was made couple of year before and got eager to visit there and did as same as santosh advised. When we were getting return to City Santosh shown his willingness to take us his room where he is residing we obeyed his request and went to his room with bag and baggage where planed to celebrate our presence brought chicken, salad of course our favorite RUM ♥♥ we finished two bottle of wine we were talking each other but don’t know what was thetopic because……..♥ and slept ♥♥
We were three friends and one day we decided to visit to Nepal once by the time. And We were about to get opportunity soon because one day when I was at room my phone rang, it was from Kathmandu (Nepal) and caller was Santosh Subedee (He is a Nepali guy) like another day offering me to come to Nepal.
That time I couldn’t refuse his offer but I don’t know why??? Because every time I was refusing his offer. First of all I called my friend Munna (Jaypal) and asked to come To Kathmandu with me, He said “Yes”, next day my friend Sudhir also shown his willingness to come with us.
On 10 Sep 2013 -: Finally we determined about our journey to Kathmandu. But we had big question how to get there however I have visited there once in 2003 but that time I was gotten there by travel agent so I was bit confuse for that, not getting understand from where should I start suddenly an idea came into my mind and expressed it in front of my friends they appreciated. Now we were about to go in Kathmandu by Air.
After that I opened my laptop and starting to search Air ticket where I can get cheap ticket and it was never end till evening at last I called to Indigo airline customer care and Booked three Ticketfrom New Delhi to Kathmandu on 8 October 2013…..wow feeling was exotic that time. Now we were preparing for 8 October.
On 07 Oct 2013 -:Now date was come when departed to Kathmandu even though International airport is far from here (around 400 Km) So we decided to go to Delhi by Train, Stayed night at my friend Manoj’s guest house in Delhi. He (Manoj) Already arranged everything , what we needed like chilli chicken, salad, papad etc…hey still something is missing ♥ what……YES….ROYAL STAG full of wine ♥♥♥. Indeed it was unforgettable night for me because I drink occasionally♥♥
